First Impression…Gratitude!

Nneka Renacole Rice was born on January 27, 1985, in Gallatin, Tennessee. Raised in a musical family, she would spend most of her early years singing in various church choirs at Key-Stewart United Methodist Church. As a teen, Nacole mastered the art of performing under the direction of her vocal coach Vera Warrick. Warrick would later develop an all-female quartet Shadz of U, which featured childhood friends Chandra Boone, Selina Robb, Kimberly Locke and a young Nacole.

The group went on to become local sensations throughout the Nashville area. Shadz of U is featured on Kimberly Locke’s “Everyday Angels” off her sophomore album “Based on a True Story” in 2007. In late 2011, a chance meeting with up and coming producer Jred at a music convention would result in Nacole Rice signing with Cartel Music Group, a subsidiary of Twenty Two Recordings/Capitol Records in February 2012. Since signing with CMG, Nacole went immediately to work on her upcoming projects and hasn’t come up for air since.

On April 10, 2012, Nacole Rice released her first introduction track “For the Road” off her upcoming debut album “Her Story”, which is scheduled for a Late 2013 release. In addition, Nacole has been working hard on preparing her mixtape release “First Impression” which was recently was released exclusively on DatPiff.com
