Daughter of legends!
Her father is internationally celebrated Freddie McGregor and her mother, gospel singer Judy Mowatt, was one of the iconic I-Three’s (Bob Marley backing vocalists).
Prodigious talent runs in the veins of She’s Ma Beth but from an early age, she learned how to hone her craft. At three she was learning the piano; by seven the violin, so it was no surprise to the family that by her teens she was singing backup for her parents and playing keyboards in her own band THE SHEPARDS with a friend, Grammy winner, Damian Marley.
Most recently She’s Ma Beth has shared in the commercial triumphs of The Big Ship Music Company, a family owned business that has spawned her brothers (Producers/Performers) Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor and Daniel ‘Chino’ McGregor. Due to their success and precocious talent, the three of them have been featured in articles globally including The NYTimes and NatGeo’s World Music TV show. Under the Big Ship umbrella, She’s Ma Beth has reemerged again as a solo artist with some dancehall victories of her own as well as some soulful pop ballads. She is currently working on a fresh new album that with truly showcase her musical expertise and her chronicles as a single hard working woman ‘telling it like it is, with raw and honest emotion’.
Yet throughout this journey, her parents have always been, and will always be her greatest influences. “My parents worked too hard for me not to do the same. They taught me where we came from and where we need to go. As the saying goes, every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow”
